A little bit of everything... Un peu de tout...

Emily's second upper incisor is finally gone... After 3 days of not eating, we joined forces and took care of it. After much pleading and promises, I got to pull it out. It only cost me a pack of Webkinz cards, the promise to dress the cat in a doll's dress and to wrap him like a baby for a picture. There he is, our little cat burrito... happy as can be! Note to PETA: no cat was harmed in the making of this picture. At the most it was a little bit of harmless exploitation...
La deuxième incisive supérieure d'Emily est finalement partie... Après 3 jours à ne pas manger, on a joint nos forces et on s'en est occupée. Après beaucoup de supplications et de promesses, j'ai pu l'arracher. Ça m'a seulement couté un paquet de cartes Webkinz, la promesse d'habiller le chat dans une robe et de l'envelopper dans une couverte comme un bébé pour une photo. Le voilà, notre petit burrito félin... aussi heureux qu'il peut l'être! Note pour PETA: aucun chat n'a été blessé dans le montage de cette photo. Au plus, c'était une légère exploitation inoffensive...

We also had a big scare... In the middle of the sentence "don't go between the dog and the stairs", Olivia did just that and a happy tail/butt wag sent her flying... head/feet/head/feet all the way down... Thank heavens for little compact bodies and new padded carpet. Only the pride was hurt. And a good case of wobbly knees for mom. But as you can see in the pictures, she doesn't hold a grudge. Note to child services: the gate at the top of the stairs was temporarily out to allow movement of furniture as we move back everyting downstairs after the big flood...
On a aussi eu une grosse peur... En plein milieu de la phrase "ne vas pas entre le chien et l'escalier", Olivia a fait exactement ça et un trémoussement de la queue et du derrière l'a envoyee voler... tête/pieds/tête/pieds jusqu'au bas de l'escalier... Merci au ciel pour les petits corps compacts et le nouveau tapis épais. Seulement la fierté a été blessés. Et un bon cas de jambes molles pour maman. Mais comme vous pouvez le constater dans les photos, elle n'en garde pas rancune. Note à la DPJ: la barrière en haut des escaliers était temporairement enlevée pour permettre le mouvement des meubles alors que l'on réaménage après les inondations...

Almost a week after grand-papa and grand-maman left and Olivia still asks everyday if she gets to stay home with them! And she asks how to say some words in French. She was extremely pleased and impressed when she found out that "Olivia" is "Olivia" in French! She is very happy to "be the same in French"! Note to the French Academy: we're not there yet...
Presqu'une semaine après le départ de grand-papa et grand-maman et Olivia demande encore à tous les jours si elle va rester à la maison avec eux! Et elle demande à savoir plus de mots en français. Elle était très contente quand elle a appris que "Olivia" se dit "Olivia" en français! Tellement fière "d'être le même en français"! Note à l'Académie Française: on n'est pas rendues là...

We're getting new furniture: a couch and a chair. To make room for the delivery today, we took the old loveseat downstairs and sold the big chair to a friend. When the girls got up this morning, Emily was quite surprised by the absence of seats! When she encouraged her sister to go see the living room, Olivia saw it as having new (more!) floor! Note to self: see the world like a 3 year-old. It is so much funnier and surprising...
On va avoir de nouveaux meubles: un divan et une chaise. Pour faire de la place pour la livraison aujourd'hui, on a descendu le vieux divan en-bas et vendu la grosse chaise à un ami. Quand les filles se sont levées ce matin, Emily a été pas mal surprise par l'absence de siège! Quand elle a encouragée sa soeur à aller dans le salon, Olivia l'a vu comme ayant du nouveau (plus de) plancher! Note à moi-même: vois le monde comme une enfant de 3 ans. C'est tellement plus amusant et surprenant...
