Bedtime conversation tonight:
- Olivia, how did you get the scratch on your leg?
- Oh that? I just went to the zoo and the zebra bit (OK, she said bited!) a chunk off my leg. And I saw a dragon and he let me take him in my hands and he liked me. He was nicer than the zebra.
And the other day, at supper she described how she had been in a firetruck in the afternoon. Since she was at Bev's, I was surprised that she didn't tell us that she was taking the kids to visit the fire station, but Olivia was quite convincing. That's when I thought I would test the veracity of the story:
- What color was the firetruck?
- Pink and purple and Bev was driving it!
Now, can you imagine the excuses we'll get when she breaks curfew at 16?!
